We are committed to ensuring that our event is accessible and inclusive for everyone. Below you will find information about the measures we have taken to ensure that all participants can enjoy the congress without barriers.
Information

Website
The current status of the website regarding accessibility: An evaluation has been conducted, and the site meets at least WCAG 2.1 AA classification
Helpful features for all users:
- The website has a clear structure and a consistent heading hierarchy
- The website is keyboard-accessible.
- The website’s content is readable with a screen reader.
- The use of colours and contrasts takes into account people with visual impairments.
- A highly legible font was selected.
- A responsive web design has been implemented on the website.
- Contact options are available through multiple channels (email/chat and phone).
Directions
Distance to the nearest stop: The nearest stop (U1 Messe Wien) is 200 meters away.
We have our own accessible parking lot. The path from the accessible parking lot to the main entrance is level and paved with asphalt or concrete.
Wayfinding system: There is a tactile wayfinding system leading to the main entrance.
Entrance
Sliding door: The door opens automatically. It opens early and closes with a delay. It is a glass door. The door has the appropriate glass marking. The door is at least 90 cm wide. There is at least 120 cm of space in front of and behind the door.
Elevator: No elevator needed at the whole venue
Event Room
Accessibility: The event room is fully accessible.
Mobility spaces and parking spots: The event room has the necessary mobility spaces. We have designated wheelchair parking spots.
Lighting: The room is equipped with glare-free lighting.
Assistive technologies: Free Wi-Fi is available to facilitate the use of personal assistive devices.
Circulation Areas
Aisle widths: The clear space between pieces of furniture is at least 90 cm.
Turning circles: There are sufficiently large turning circles with a diameter of at least 150 cm. There are no level changes in the customer area.
Catering
The buffet is fully accessible. There is ample space to move around in the buffet area. The buffet counters are 88 cm high. The staff is happy to assist guests with serving food and beverages. Food: The dishes offered are labelled with signs featuring sufficiently large font sizes.
Information about allergens is provided.
Restroom
Accessibility: The restroom is accessible without steps. Door: The door opens outward. The door opens smoothly. The door is at least 80 cm wide. There is a manoeuvring space of at least 150 cm in diameter inside the restroom. The approach area to the toilet seat is at least 130 cm x 185 cm. The approach area at the sink, measured from the front edge, is at least 130 cm x 100 cm. There is at least 90 cm of space to the left of the toilet seat. There is at least 90 cm of space to the right of the toilet seat. There is at least 120 cm of space in front of the toilet seat.
Washbasin: The top edge of the washbasin is installed at a height of 80 cm to 85 cm. The washbasin is easily accessible with a wheelchair (at least 70 cm in height)
Toilet seat: The toilet seat is at a height between 46 and 48 cm. A toilet lid is mounted on the toilet bowl. Features: There are sturdy grab bars on both sides. There is a wheelchair-accessible washbasin. The sink is equipped with a single-lever faucet. All fixtures, such as shelves, toilet paper holders, towel dispensers, soap dispensers, and similar items, are mounted at a height between 80 cm and 110 cm. Handles and controls are designed with high contrast.
An emergency call system is available. The emergency call can be triggered using a pull.
