Deadline for submission: March 10, 2026
Delegates who would like to present their work as a Poster or Oral presentation are invited to submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Committee.
Please refer to the instructions below to ensure a smooth and successful abstract submission.
The respective topic must be selected to ensure correct scoring of the abstract. If you wish to add a secondary topic choice you can do so during the submission process.

Important Information on the Selection Process
All abstracts are going to be pre-reviewed before acceptance. Those submitted for talks will be later scored by the Organizing Programme Committee. The best scored abstracts in each category will be assigned to the according sessions. All other abstracts will be presented as posters in the poster area.
IMPORTANT:
All abstract presenters must be registered and pay prior to the submission deadline, no later than March 23, 2026. If your payment has not been received by March 23, 2026, your abstract will automatically be removed from the final list of abstracts (regardless of any confirmation/acceptance e-mail). Please consider a couple of days extra in case your preferred payment method is bank transfer.
Guidelines for submission
- By submitting an abstract submitter agrees that their personal data are being saved and used by the organiser in order to process the submission and enable the presentation at the conference.
- You may be presenting author of only one paper, but co-author of any number of abstracts.
- Multiple submissions with identical presenting authors will be automatically rejected.
- Identical submissions from different first authors will also be automatically rejected.
- Abstracts containing no results or structure will be rejected.
- The abstract title must not be more than 25 words
- Maximum number of words (exclusive title and names of authors): 300 words
- Abstract needs to be structured accordingly: background, methods, results, conclusion
- authors: full name, institute and e-mail address of all authors: please mark the presenting author
- Indicate title, name, affiliation & conflict of interest of all co-authors
- Do not include references
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Abstracts can only be submitted online via the official online abstract submission form.
Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
The internet abstract submission system works best with Internet Explorer: 8.0 or higher, Firefox: 5.0 or higher, Chrome: 7 or higher, Apple Safari 5.1 or higher.
AFTER THE SUBMISSION
You will receive a confirmation/acceptance e-mail within 72 hours after your submission has been completed. Please desist from sending any e-mails requesting a confirmation or acceptance.
Please note that adjustments/changes are not possible after you have submitted your abstract.
The abstract will be scored by the originality and contribution to the zebrafish research.
The submitting authors will be notified no earlier than April 16, 2026 at the email address provided during submission whether their abstract has been accepted. Your notification will include the type of presentation and instructions on how to submit your presentation.
If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement, reflecting the reasons of this decision must be sent to ezm2026@wma.co.at no later than 29 May, 2026. In case of a withdrawal of abstract and cancellation of registration, the registration cancellation schedule will apply.
